My name is Adriana. I am 7 years old and I have AUTISM.

With my autism I see the world in a different way than most kids do. Many times I get completely overwhelmed by my surroundings. My brain doesn’t know how to handle everything hitting it at the same time. It makes me feel frustrated and angry. My brain feels SCRAMBLED.

My doctor says I should get an AUTISM SERVICE DOG to help me. My working dog will help to keep me safe and recognize when I am losing control or making unsafe choices. He will also help me learn how to interract with others appropriately.

Mommy & Daddy said that insurance does not pay for my working dog and we need to raise money from all the caring people out there. They have it setup so that donations CAN be tax deductible!!

Will you please help me get my service dog???

Fundraising Needs

We need $13,500 by August to keep Adriana's Autism Service Dog placement. Training is due to be complete by the end of summer 2011.

If the funds are not turned in by August 1st, she risks losing her placement to another family who has secured their funds.

An additional $3,000-$5,000 is needed to pay for training travel: One week in Oregon for a parent to be trained with the dog, then we need to bring their autism specialist/master trainer here to train Adriana in HER environment as well as training the staff at school.
